Cookie policy
What this site places in your browser, what it deliberately does not, and how to change it. The short version: nothing that follows you.
1The short version
We set no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking. We measure visits using a cookieless analytics service provided by our hosting platform, which counts page views without storing anything in your browser and without identifying you. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, the banner will appear before the cookies do, and this page will be updated first.
2What a cookie is here
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Related technologies, local storage and session storage, do the same job. This policy covers all of them.
3What this site uses
- Strictly necessary
- Your hosting provider may set a cookie required to serve the site securely, for example for load balancing or bot protection. These are set for the site to function and cannot be switched off without breaking it.
- Functional
- None at present. The diagnostic tools on this site keep your answers only in the page you are looking at, and lose them when you close or reload it. Nothing is written to browser storage.
- Analytics
- No cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, a cookieless measurement service run by the platform that hosts this site. It records page views and load times without cookies, without browser storage and without building a profile of you, so no consent is required.
- Advertising
- None, and none planned.
4Third-party services
- Google Fonts.
- Typefaces load from Google servers, which makes your IP address visible to Google. This sets no cookie, but it is a third-party request. Fonts can be self-hosted to remove it entirely.
- Calendly.
- The booking link opens Calendly in a new tab. Calendly sets its own cookies on its own domain, under its own cookie and privacy terms. Nothing is set on this site by following the link.
5Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies for a specific site through its settings, usually under Privacy or Site settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working. Because we set no analytics or advertising cookies, blocking cookies here costs you nothing.
6Changes
If we introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will update this page, add a consent mechanism that lets you refuse as easily as accept, and record your choice. See also our privacy policy.
